I read an interesting article questioning whether or not Notre Dame is slacking in religious affiliation and ideology. I think this is really a question that can be aimed at the entire higher education system in America. Each institution needs to be held accountable for the direction they are proposing. The ideals of educational institutions have been replaced by the financial constraints of the very competitive industry of higher education. Notre Dame is just one of the many institutions that has lost its way under the pressure of the dollar.
